Ingredients

  • 75 grams self-raising flour
  • 55 grams oat bran
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 55 grams Flora buttery spread
  • 25 grams caster sugar
  • 7 tbsp buttermilk
  • 100 grams Flora ProActiv buttery spread
  • 100 grams golden caster sugar
  • 1 orange zested
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220ºC/200ºC Fan/Gas mark 7. Grease a baking sheet.
  2. Place all scone ingredients together in a mixing bowl and mix with a wooden spoon to form a soft dough.
  3. Turn onto a lightly-floured surface. Knead lightly.
  4. Roll out to 1.25cm (½ inch) thick. Cut into rounds with a plain 6.25cm (2 inch) floured cutter.
  5. Lightly knead trimmings together, roll and cut into rounds as before.
  6. Place on baking sheet and bake in oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile mix the spread ingredients together. Chill for at least 20 minutes.
  8. Serve with the scones.
